High Borrans House

The house has a spacious lounge with TV and cosy log fire, and a separate staff lounge. The orangery is a delightful conservatory space with comfy sofas and fabulous views.

Other facilities include classroom / meeting room, drying and kit rooms, games room and wi-fi. There is also a small souvenir shop.

Rooms with Stunning Views

Accommodation is available for up to 48 participants and 7 staff, spread over three corridors each with own staff bedroom. A maximum of 6 in any one room. Staff bedrooms en suite. Accessible bedroom downstairs.

Fresh linen for children to make their own beds - staff are exempt from this task.

Food

Delicious home cooked meals are all part of the High Borrans experience. Continental and cooked breakfast options available. Daily packed lunches provided. Dinner is a social affair and chance to swap tales of the day’s adventures.

Favourites include steak pie, cheesy pizza and sticky toffee pudding. All dietary requirements catered for. Normally 3 meal options for evening meal. We’ll even bake you a cake if it’s your birthday! Groups are expected to play their part in organising the dining room.

Grounds

5 acres of woods, fields, ponds and wetlands and our own lake. Perfect for a stroll before breakfast or after dinner.

The woodland campfire circle is ideal for toasting marshmallows and telling stories over a mug of hot chocolate.

Elf Rigg - Outdoor learning space

Perfect for Forest Schools, environmental learning, training and outdoor courses. Elf Rigg is a private woodland space.

Available to hire on a daily basis or used as a campsite. Elf Rigg has shelter, a fire, kitchen, toilets and showers.

Our Tarn

We have our own Tarn (small lake) for canoeing, swimming, relaxing & watching the wildlife.
